ten years ago today was the last time I saw her, but, based on autopsy reports and what not, it was definitely the day she died. suicide. insulin overdose. apparently, that's one of those that, once injected, it's almost impossible not to die. nonetheless, her body was found near the phone --she had wanted to live, after all ( Read more... )

The months ahead are going to be rough. I fear that like 2003, this year too will end horribly; not in a suicide attempt, but in something far more devastating. I hope that yesterday's events were just isolated incidents, and not the opening salvo of pain and misery. I also hope that it does not become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
